Scientific career
In 2021, Morgan obtained his Master’s in Chemistry (MChem) from Swansea University under the guidance of Prof. Moritz Kühnel researching redox-active complexes coupled with photocatalytic materials for H2 evolution, CO2 reduction and biomass oxidation.
His master’s research inspired him to continue in the field research and so in 2022 he joined Kornienko labs as a PhD student at University of Montreal under the supervision of Prof. Nikolay Kornienko. During his PhD, he has developed a keen interest and skills in using electrochemistry and molecular catalysis to produce value-added chemicals from small molecules such as CO2, N2 and nitrate.
In 2023, Morgan moved to the University of Bonn with Prof. Kornienko to continue his PhD studies.
